Connect supported clients with the Warm MCP installer and your full-access API key.

MCP setup

  1. Create an API key

    Get it from Settings → Export & API in your Warm dashboard.

  2. Run the installer

    Use npx -y @warmio/mcp@latest install.

  3. Reload the client

    Restart or reload so the Warm tools are discovered.

  4. Verify with a prompt

    Ask: "Is my Warm connection working?"

Ask your client about your finances.

  • Account Balances

    What's my net worth right now? Latest synced balances across your connected checking, savings, and credit accounts.

  • Transaction History

    How much did I spend on food this month? Transaction details with merchant names, amounts, categories, and dates for a specific month or the fixed 10-day latest window.

  • Recurring Payments

    What subscriptions am I paying for? Subscriptions and recurring charges surfaced from your financial state for easier review.

  • Financial State

    What is my financial position? Financial history, budgets, goals, and financial position returned together in one read-only response.

The local Warm MCP server makes these tools available to supported clients.

  • get_financial_context

    Read-only compact FinancialContext JSON. Includes status.position, status.accounts, transaction index total/months, recurring, budgets, goals, snapshots, liabilities, holdings, and health. The status.position field is a point-in-time (as-of-date) balance snapshot, separate from transaction and behavior windows. A null position means no position snapshot is available. Transaction items are not inline; use get_transactions for items. "Show my connected accounts and current balances"

  • get_transactions

    Read-only transactions from the FinancialContext artifact. Pass exactly one of `period` or `periods`. Use `period: "latest"` for the fixed 10-day window, `period: "YYYY-MM"` for one month, or `periods` for two or three distinct months. Multi-month output contains one month page per requested period in input order. The latest window is not caller-configurable. Months outside the covered range return an error. "What did I spend last month?"

  • search_operations

    Search the supported Warm operation catalog. Use this first to find the smallest matching operation. "What approved automation is available?"

  • describe_operation

    Describe one operation, including its input schema and risk. For write operations, pass the exact intended input to receive an approval with its ID, status, URL, and expiry. "Describe this approved operation"

  • invoke_operation

    Invoke one previously discovered Warm operation. Every write operation requires the approval_id returned for the exact same input by describe_operation. "Run this approved operation"

Built around controlled access

  • You approve changes to Warm records.

    The MCP server reads financial data and runs changes to Warm records that you approve. It cannot move money.

  • Your key authorizes access to your Warm account.

    Your key authorizes your Warm API data and approved record automation.

  • You can stop future calls.

    Delete the key to stop further calls with it. Previous AI outputs remain subject to your AI provider's policies.
