Choose Warm MCP or a CSV for your AI
You can connect your AI to Warm or give it a CSV file. Both help you ask questions about your money.
Pick the approach that fits your task.
| Warm MCP | CSV file | |
|---|---|---|
| Good for | Regular spending and subscription reviews | A one-off question about selected rows |
| Setup | Connect Warm with an API key and the local installer | Upload a file to an AI that accepts it |
| Freshness | The latest data synced to Warm | Data from when you made the export |
| What you share | Your key allows access across your Warm account | You choose the rows and columns |
With MCP, you can come back next month without preparing another file. Check your bank connections in Warm and ask your AI which months are available.
With a CSV, you can remove details you don’t need to share. Check dates, currencies, and duplicate rows before uploading, and keep an untouched copy.
Check your AI’s privacy settings.
Your AI provider may receive financial data through either method. Warm MCP runs on your computer, but that doesn’t mean the AI processes everything there. Check your provider’s storage and training policies.
Deleting your Warm key stops future calls with that key. It won’t delete data already shared with your AI provider.
MCP can also change supported Warm records after you approve the exact request. It cannot move money. Read how permissions work if you want the details.
To connect, follow the Warm MCP setup guide.
