Connect your bank accounts
Use Plaid to securely connect your checking, savings, and credit card accounts. Warm supports 12,000+ financial institutions.
Generate an API key
Go to Settings → API Keys in your Warm dashboard and create a new API key. Copy the key—you'll need it for the next step.
Install the MCP server
Run "npx @warmio/mcp" in your terminal. The installer will prompt for your API key and auto-configure your AI clients.

How do I connect my bank account to Claude?
First, create a Warm Pro account and connect your bank via Plaid. Then generate an API key in Settings. Finally, run "npx @warmio/mcp" to install the MCP server—it auto-configures Claude Code and other AI clients.
Is it safe to connect my bank to an AI?
Yes. Plaid uses bank-level 256-bit encryption and never stores your credentials. The Warm MCP server is read-only—Claude can query your data but cannot make changes, transfers, or access your login credentials.
What banks are supported?
Warm uses Plaid, which supports 12,000+ financial institutions including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, American Express, and most regional banks and credit unions.
What can Claude see from my bank account?
Claude can see account balances, transaction history (amounts, merchants, categories, dates), recurring payments/subscriptions, and net worth snapshots. It cannot see your login credentials, make transfers, or access budgets/goals.
Which AI assistants can access my bank data?
The Warm MCP server works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, OpenCode, Codex CLI, Antigravity, and Gemini CLI. Any MCP-compatible client can connect using your API key.
How do I revoke Claude's access to my bank data?
Go to Settings → API Keys in your Warm dashboard and delete the API key. Access stops immediately. You can also disconnect bank accounts entirely from the Accounts page.
