Ways folks use it

Partners, family, advisors. It fits your life.

Couples Managing Together

You could share all your accounts with your partner as members. Both of you see the complete picture - checking, savings, credit cards - and work together on budgets and goals. One dashboard for both of you.

Example: Sarah and Tom share their checking and credit accounts to track household spending together.

Families Planning Finances

You could create a household where each family member shares what they're comfortable with. Parents might share everything, while adult children share just their checking account. Everyone stays connected without oversharing.

Example: The Martinez family tracks their combined net worth while respecting individual privacy.

Financial Advisor Access

You could invite your financial advisor as a viewer. They see your complete financial picture - income, spending, assets - without being able to make changes. Give them the context they need to help you plan.

Example: Alex invites their advisor as a viewer to review spending patterns before quarterly meetings.

Common questions

Who can create a household?

Household sharing is a Warm Pro feature. Any Pro user can create a household and invite members or viewers. Once invited, members and viewers can join even if they have a Basic plan.

Can I keep some accounts private?

Absolutely. You choose exactly which accounts to share with your household. Any accounts you don't share remain completely private - only you can see them.

What is the difference between member and viewer roles?

Members can share accounts, edit transactions, and create budgets. Viewers can only see shared data - they cannot make any changes. Viewers are perfect for financial advisors who need to review your finances without editing anything.

Can financial advisors access my data?

Yes. You could invite your financial advisor as a viewer. They'll see all accounts you share with the household, but they cannot make changes or access your bank credentials. They can also use the API to export your data for their own analysis tools.

What happens if I leave a household?

If you leave a household, your accounts become private again. Your data is never deleted - it simply stops being shared with the household. You can rejoin later if invited again.

Can I remove someone from my household?

Yes. As the owner, you can remove any member or viewer at any time. They'll immediately lose access to shared accounts. This is useful if you need to revoke access for a former advisor or family member.

Is household sharing secure?

Yes. Household invitations expire after 7 days and require email verification. Members only see accounts explicitly shared with the household. Viewers have read-only access and cannot move money or make changes. You retain full control over your data.

How many people can join a household?

There's no hard limit on household size. You could invite as many members and viewers as needed - whether that's just your partner, your whole family, or multiple advisors.
